I am motivated by helping clients to achieve their business goals and making a lasting difference to their organizations. I am commercially aware, understand business drivers/strategies and enjoy collaborating with client-side colleagues to design and deliver pragmatic solutions that support sustainable change.

Since joining Bridgeforce, Alan has worked on projects spanning intermediary mortgages, credit cards and change governance. He has also provided interim credit risk support for a specialist lender client, with specific focus on policy development, risk reporting and governance. Alan designed a benefits-tracking methodology for a U.K. banking client that was subsequently adopted as a global standard, providing greater insight and control over hundreds of thousands of dollars of benefits realization.

Alan has over 30 years in the banking industry with Royal Bank of Scotland, serving his apprenticeship in customer-facing/relationship management roles. Subsequent senior management positions spanned credit risk, change, operations and systems supporting small business lending segments. Alan lives in rural East Lothian with his wife, teenage daughter and Labrador. He is a car enthusiast and also enjoys cooking for family and friends. And when the Scottish weather permits, he likes to spend time outdoors gardening or walking in the surrounding countryside.
